The Shawangunk Wine Trail spans 13 fantastic wineries nestled between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Hudson River. The Shawangunk Wine Trail sponsors many events that celebrate wine. For a festive wine tasting experience, attend the Wreath Fineries at the Wineries! Taking place select weekends in November and December, the Wreath Fineries at the Wineries involves a self-guided tour of wineries on the Shawangunk Wine Trail, all of which will be decorated in holiday finery and awaiting your visit! Pick the winery where you want to start, and start with a souvenir wine glass, grapevine wreath, and Shawangunk Wine Trial ornament. At each winery you stop at afterward, you will receive another ornament for your wreath (as well as more wine tastings!).
Another popular annual wine event is the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival. It takes place the weekend after Labor Day.
